Difficulties connecting in Russia

Unfortunately, we're aware that users in Russia experience connectivity problems that appear consistent with broader internet restrictions or traffic filtering affecting access to some online services. Those conditions are outside our control, and they do appear to affect Zodl.

This occurs especially when using mobile data services, while we've been informed that Wi-Fi connections on home ISPs have greater chances of success.

We can support Zodl itself, but we can't advise on VPNs, Tor, proxies, or other third-party tools that reroute traffic, and we can't advise on local legal requirements.

If you have funds in Zodl and are unable to connect in order to spend them, it's possible that other Zcash wallets may have better luck with the connection. So you're aware, Zingo is a Zcash wallet that is compatible with your Zodl recovery phrase.

If Zodl is able to reach the network on your connection, we're happy to help with normal app troubleshooting. If not, we may not have a reliable app-side fix for this type of network interference.

As a result of these consistent issues, however, we have made Zodl unavailable on the Russian iOS & Google app stores. Users may still install and update via F-Droid or Obtainium, but will invariably encounter the aforementioned issues.
