Resyncing Zodl on iOS
Sometimes, a wallet's database can experience issues that require a resync to fix. These issues could present as trouble spending certain coins in your wallet or an incorrectly reflected balance.
Verify your backup
On iOS, resyncing will be easy to do and shouldn't require re-inputting your Zodl recovery phrase, though for good measure, you must first double-check that your phrase is properly recorded.
Ensure that the recovery phrase you have backed up is the same as you currently see in Zodl. If you follow the below and for any reason need to restore your wallet, the phrase is required to regain your funds.
To resync
- As above, verify your recovery phrase is backed up and correct.
- In iOS, delete the Zodl app.
- Install Zodl again through the App Store.
- Upon launching Zodl, you should see your wallet automatically restore from the encrypted database backup on your iPhone.
- Keep your phone on and connected to power as it resyncs your wallet. This process may take between a few minutes to an hour based on the age of your wallet and the connection.
Afterwards, you should see your balance correctly reflected and any issues with spendability cleared up.
