'Next' button unavailable during restore
When restoring your wallet with your 24-word recovery phrase, it's possible that the 'Next' button either doesn't appear (Android) or isn't pressable (iOS).
If this is the case, it indicates that the recovery phrase as input does not produce a valid wallet.
Wallet recovery phrases contain words that act as checksums to ensure that the phrase produces a valid wallet. If the phrase as entered does not pass checksumming, the 'Next' button will not be available, and it means that a mistake was made when entering (or originally recording) your recovery phrase.
Recovery phrases must be exact and in the original 24-word order as originally presented when backing up.
Please check for the following:
- Incorrect words
- Incomplete words ('ada' instead of 'adapt')
- Valid English words that form part of the intended word ('son' instead of 'song', 'gig' instead of 'giggle')
- Transposed words (words out of the original order)
- Missing words
If you have this wallet still installed on another instance of Zodl, please access its recovery phrase and compare with what you have written down.
If this is your only recovery phrase backup, know that it's possible through brute-force means to recover valid recovery phrases when a couple words are incorrect. It's possible we can recommend tools for doing so, so please reach out (though we will never ask for your recovery phrase, even if incomplete, and please never send or offer anyone your phrase, even parts of it).
